Rotunda Films is seeking male actors for it's new on-line download Sci Fi Series..
Rotunda Films is about to begin development on it's new on-line download Sci Fi Series 'The Celestial Sister'. The show follows the adventures of 5 female government agents in the 25th century.
AUDITIONS
We will obviously be holding an audition session at some stage but it’s a way off yet, we’re looking to get the interest of people who want to be involved while raising the money so that we can hit the ground running.
THE SHOOT
We are still securing finance for the project but aim to shoot either in the summer or early autumn.
The amount of money we raise will also determine just how much budget there is for cast and crew wages, if you’re not prepared to work for expenses then this isn’t for you, however we’re not aiming to make this for expenses, its just a possibility – you have been warned!
THE RELEASE
A release prior to Christmas is our target with each episode going live one week after each other.
It’s all very campy sci fi stuff, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers kind of stuff. The heroines will be dressed in very revealing but cool clothing (hot pants short skirts etc) so confidence is a must.
We’re aiming this at the Internet Sci Fi fans who (without wish to tar too many people with the same brush) are big fans of sexy girls in little clothing.
However the guys will need to look good topless too, particularly Alex Zander, Blackstone, Bain and Chief Krull.
But the whole thing is sexy not sexual and we’re looking to create iconic images of characters that guys and girls would want on posters on the bedroom walls, or at least as wall papers on their computers.
Again this ties in to the pre marketing campaign where we want a lot of interest so sexy people in sexy outfits walking round a sci fi convention is bound to do us some good.
THE MAIN CHARACTERS
- Sirus (male) (35+) The second in command of Ti Lings Military forces. This sick twisted man is power mad yet his disfiguring injuries (facial burns) have made him repulsive to women, meaning he has to use force to get what he wants. Had he been born on Earth, Sirus would have certainly been a great leader of honest men but growing up in the out reaches of the galaxy, he was enrolled into Ti Lings forces at a young age and has grown up faithful and loyal to them.
- Alex Zander (male 20 - 35) The head of a local mercenary group, helping the villains to begin with but knows it’s wrong. Alex’s men are on the planet to deal with security for his own people who work here and export crops. The arrival of Ti Ling has forced him to co-operate with her even if he would prefer to see her destroyed. He knows he can not take on Ti Ling alone. He is Biding his time. Much like the people of the channel islands during the second world war, the idea of British policemen working with the Nazis…. The self contempt is there as well.
- Bastosh - (male 40+) head of a separate Mercenary group, who have plans to destroy Ti Lings army but are waiting for the right time. He has a different approach to Alex Zander in so much that he knows he could give Ti Ling a run for her money in a war, but her sheer numbers would eventually win the day. He is preparing to strike but has to win a decisive victory quickly if he is to defeat her, he can’t do it alone. He has no designs to control the planet himself but wishes to see order restored. The upshot of it is that Bastosh is safe in the knowledge he will not be conquered or defeated by Ti Ling so enjoys all the luxuries of life that he can.
- Blackstone (Male 35) An arrogant self appointed military leader who sees a chance to become rich and powerfully supporting his Ti Ling. His over confidence leads him into a battle he ultimately loses, along his reputation.
