Seeking a mature woman (25-40) to play a cult leader in 'Dance Sisters'
We are looking for a mature woman, 35 – 40, with a strong physicality to play the cult leader in 'Dance Sisters', an innovative cross media project which couples an online detective game with a film adopted from a novel by Alan Clay.
Plot Summary
-------------
Moana and Pearl are a song and dance duo which is up for the Australasian Song Awards; however Pearl has become involved in a cult, which is into virtual-dreaming and open sexuality. In her struggle to rescue Pearl and keep the Dance Sisters in the Awards, Moana is lured into the cult by a young member, Matt. However as this relationship develops, Moana instead attracts him to leave, and also secures Pearl’s participation in the Awards, which the Dance Sisters then go on to win.
Project Structure

The initial phase of the project will involve releasing a series of podcasts from the Dance Sisters onto popular video web sites like YouTube, Facebook and MySpace. This will form the basis of an Alternate Reality Game to be deployed in 2009. This will mean video shoots beginning in August and continuing through 2009. This will be followed by the feature film production in the summer of 2009/2010.
The pay during the podcast phase of the project will be a combination of an advance and profit share in the feature film. Pay during the film production stage of the project will be standard industry rates. The project will involve some filming in Australia and New Zealand, in both the podcast and feature film stages. Airfare and accommodation will be provided.
