Artmedia is looking for a female actor/singer/dancer (18-24) for online feature film

Artmedia is producing an online game and feature film based on Alan Clay's second novel, Dance Sisters. The story is a romantic drama set in Sydney about a female song and dance duo, Moana and Pearl, who overcome adversity and the control of a Kings Cross cyber sex cult, to win a song competition.
We have cast the role of Moana and are looking for someone to play the role of Pearl. We require a woman aged between 19 and 24 who can sing, dance and act. We are looking to cast an unknown actor in this role. You will need to commit to two years of filming for the equivalent of two weeks every two months.
“Pearl is playful and curious. She’s flirtatious, she likes people, because people provide an endless variety of interesting differences. She likes playing tricks and teasing people, just for fun. She becomes the leader of the duo by teasing Moana out of her vulnerability, so they can actually do the work, and she acts as spokesperson. She has strong opinions, but these change as she gets new information. Through the work of the duo and her experiences with the cult, she is learning the lesson of brotherhood, learning the value of her relationship with Moana, which she realises only too late at the end to salvage their intimate relationship, but in time to save the working relationship and save her from the clutches of the cult.”
The initial phase of the project will involve releasing a series of podcasts from the Dance Sisters onto popular video web sites like YouTube, Facebook and MySpace. This will form the basis of an Alternate Reality Game to be deployed in 2009.
This will mean rehearsals and video shoots beginning in August and continuing through 2009. This will be followed by the feature film production in the summer of 2009/2010. The pay during the podcast phase of the project will be a combination of an advance and profit share in the feature film. Pay during the film production stage of the project will be standard industry rates. The Dance Sisters project will be an opportunity for some dynamic new performers to get great exposure, industry experience and have some fun! The project will involve some filming in Australia and New Zealand, in both the podcast and feature film stages. Airfare and accommodation will be provided.
Auditions are held in Melbourne on Tuesday, July 15th. We will send you audition notes and script excerpts with your audition confirmation. The audition will last a maximum of 10 minutes. You will need to prepare a song and a dance as well as the scenes. We are looking for something unusual and unique that will connect with young audiences in the song and dance audition pieces, however we have no preference for style, and would prefer you work with something that shows your skills and with which you are comfortable. (Please no Broadway musical numbers.)
Please apply now to take part or for more information.
