Two female dancer/singer/actors are required for podcasts and feature film.
Artmedia is producing an online game and feature film based on Alan Clay's second novel, Dance Sisters. The story is a romantic drama set in Sydney about a female song and dance duo who overcome adversity and the control of a Kings Cross cyber sex cult, to win a song competition.
We require two women between 18 and 24 who can sing, dance and act, or have any of these skills.
We are looking to cast unknown actors in these roles. You will need to commit to two years of filming for the equivalent of a week a month.
The initial phase of the project will involve releasing a series of podcasts from the Dance Sisters and from the cult leader onto popular video web sites like YouTube and MySpace during 2008. This will form the basis of an Alternate Reality Game to be deployed in 2009.
This will mean rehearsals and video shoots beginning in late June and continuing through 2009. This will be followed by the feature film production in the summer of 2009/2010.
The project will involve some filming in Australia and New Zealand, in both the podcast and feature film stages. Airfare and accommodation will be provided.
