Auditions Wednesday, October 29 in NYC, performers must have strong comic chops and voices
NJ Repertory Company in Long Branch, NJ is seeking pictures and resumes from non-aea performers for consideration for the New Jersey premiere of the musical Cupid and Psyche; a fabulously funny retelling of the famous love story from Greek mythology. Auditions and callbacks to be scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 in NYC.
Music: Jihwan Kim. Book/Lyrics: Sean Hartley. Director: Alan Souza. Musical Director Naomi Lee. Choreography: Ron De Jesus. Housing/transportation provided for out-of-area performers. First rehearsal: 11/19. Runs 12/11 - 1/18.
All actor/singers must have strong comic chops and star-quality voices. All ethnicity's are encouraged.

Teen aged heartthrob, rebellious streak, great body; clueless romantically, likable even when obnoxious. Pop tenor, lyrical rock edge (low B flat-G above mid C).

Kook with heart of gold; funny, imaginative, able to morph into small parts, including Pan (who can be played as raging queen), clever, comedic, not cloying; clueless romantically. Pop tenor (low B flat-B flat above mid C).

Females, aged 20 to 25 from the United States
Feisty, gorgeous, wide-eyed, a little uncomfortable with her beauty; vulnerable, sweet, a little klutzy, sometimes more aggressive than Cupid. Soprano-mix (B below mid C-F above high C).
