Synopsis:

A man returns to a remote northern island of his childhood intent on committing suicide, but instead becomes involved in a paranormal murder.
Five actors of any ethnicity are needed for a script reading. This will be a great way to both hone your craft and also to meet our production team. We are an established production company in commercial/film, with several projects in the making and are always looking for new talent. It would also be greatly appreciated by the director/writer in helping to further develop the screenplay.
The reading will be Wednesday August 20th from 5pm - 7pm, please send us your CV and headshot (for file), and we will notify you immediately if we think you will be right for the reading. Please note: This is a private reading and is volunteer.

Gordon Heath
Males, aged 28 to 35 from Canada
(suffers from schizophrenia) A shy man unsure what to do with his current situation. He is riddled with grief and confusion, eventually becoming consumed with paranoid visions and psychosis.

Dakota
Females, aged 28 to 35 from Canada
(daughter of Okemos)- A native woman, extremely confident and mother like. Dakota takes on the responsibility of nursing Gordon back to health after an attempt to end his life. She in turn becomes intertwined in his paranoid visions.

Males, aged 55 to 65 from Canada
(Dakotas Father)- A native man with a strong sense of self, he is the property manager of the Ojibway Hotel.

Marvin Heath
Any gender, aged 60 to 99 from Canada
(Gordon Heath's grandfather) He is funny in an irreverent, sarcastic way. He is very dedicated to his family, yet at times seems incapable of showing it.

Mary Elizabeth
Females, aged 19 to 25 from Canada
Mary Elisabeth- (spirit haunting the ojibway hotel) Mary is a spirit of a young woman who was murdered in the hotel, in time Gordon becomes convinced that she appearing in his visions.
