Theatre company The Scenic Route are casting for the lead male for theatre production in August
Award-winning theatre company The Scenic Route are currently casting their new children’s musical ‘You Beautiful Ewe’, performing at the Etcetera Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe Festival in August.
Plot Summary

Gossiping ewes, a rather dishy ram, a wolf with a ‘grumbalin’ tummy, a blossoming romance and many a misunderstanding all combine in this magical new interactive musical for the under 7s. Through a delightful comic score we experience the challenges of love, loss, and conquering our fears - and learn a little about sheep shearing on the way!
Employing a powerful blend of dance, physical theatre, storytelling and song, The Scenic Route’s new musical comedy ‘You Beautiful Ewe’, tells the engaging story of Brad, the new ram on the block, grappling with the weighty task of keeping a crooning wolf at bay, and Floss the young ewe who stands by her ram when everything gets, well, hairy. With a zealously knitting farmer’s wife and a jealous older sister, Baabs, to contend with, the journey is not always smooth, but upbeat, enchanting songs telling the story will have adults and children dancing in the aisles.

Currently looking for a male actor in his 20s to play the role of Brad. Rehearsals run from 8th July with performances 6th, 7th and 8th August (predominantly evenings and weekends until 23rd July then mainly daytime).
I am afraid we cannot offer a fee but a great opportunity to be involved in a new, exciting production. A CD will also be recorded, the proceeds of which will be re-numerated on a profit share basis at this stage. A longer run is anticipated in the future.

An attractive ram. Brad’s the hero of the piece and wins the heroine’s heart. He knows he’s quite a catch but is a decent bloke with it. Requires a strong singer and good dancer with good comic timing. Any accent.
