The festival aims to make 2012 THE year that the creative industries came together to shift attitudes to mental-health across the globe. Performers of all descriptions, directors and crew-members are now being sought to help stage regional Like Minds Big reTHiNK events in their own areas. Script submissions and regional event organiser registrations are coming in right now. Regional event organisers will select from a final pool of 'scripts' that deal with the human condition in uplifting ways. For the purposes of this project the term 'script' is used to refer to the written down version of a creative work - the creative work could be a dance, a play, a comedy routine, a series of performance poems, an art installation or anything in between. The main thing is that it is written down in a form that will allow a third party (that's you) to envision and enact it. You will be able to select as many 'scripts' as you wish, to compose your very own official reTHiNK event. 'Scripts' will range from a few minutes to full-length shows. Once Regional Event Organisers have selected the scripts they want to produce, the Like Minds team will forward your expression of interest to Organisers in your region so they can include you in their casting processes. Directors will be contacted first as they will be involved in final casting decisions. Performers will be contacted for casting calls in their areas. Crew members will be contacted as back-stage and front-of-house needs for each event become clear.
