The Aesir, a platoon of new recruits and battle hardened veterans alike, take the global conflict one day at a time, doing their best to survive the massacre of an international war. When Jason Hermod gets word that his sister has been lost in the jungle, he is wrecked with guilt.
Operation Baldur is simple; locate the lost squad, rescue survivors and return to camp. But when the squad begin their long trek through the jungle, it becomes clear that there is something watching… something waiting… something wicked.
When night falls, the soldiers begin to vanish, but Jason is determined to find his sister. Alone in the dark, he pushes on. Ready for anything.
All actors will go through a short intensive training camp before the shooting commences in June.

Has a low tolerance for crap, and has earned the respect of his squad. An ox of strength and valour, his real strength lies in his wisdom on the battlefield, which has lead him into many ‘Special Operations’ and built him a reputation as extremely reliable.

Late twenties, early thirties.
Male
A battle tank on the outside, he’s too old for this shit. The Sarge’s second hand man, he cares about the squad just as much as the Sarge. Disillusioned with the war efforts, he is Jason’s closest companion on the battlefield.

Early twenties.
Female
She’s a girl in a man’s world who’s perfectly capable of looking after herself. Takes her responsibilities seriously. Somewhat flirtatious, she only has eyes for Jason. Acts tough.

Late twenties.
Male
The philosophical one. He lost his ‘logical’ mind in a POW camp in his younger years, and although he is still a tough fighter, he speaks in riddles.

Mid twenties.
Male
A veteran who’s gone a little crazy. He is the classic eat ‘em up and spit em out war hero. Some would say he has lost the distinction between right and wrong, war and peace. A real sadist (or bastard).

Early twenties.
Male
Kenneth’s right hand man. He is lanky, shrewd, and a bit of a joker. Can take out his frustration on other squad members. Looks up to Kenneth.

Experienced scout, prone to letting his eyes wander. Getting older, he knows the moves but doesn’t have the reflexes he used to.
