Joes Point of View- UK

Short film about a man who is pushed to the edge. Will be ideal for show reels/film festivals
Casting no. 147160  -  All regions, UK
Casting complete: Applications now closed. Email to a friend
The objective of this project is to create a short film that surprises audiences and has a unique style.

Joes POV starts with a student film crew making a documentary on locals in their area. The film focuses on one particular subject in their documentary, Joe.
The crew go to Joe's house and interview him but halfway through the interview Joe gets a phone call which brings bad news.
Joe suddenly transforms from a mild mannered Baker into a desperate and disturbed character and ties up the crew and rants hysterically about his life and why he is so upset .
The film ends with a surprising revelation.

The first half of the film will be shot from the point of view of the documentary crew’s camera and as the film develops it will switch between the documentary camera and a more standard film style.

The film will be shot in HD on the Sony EX1 and will involve surreal lighting and projected images to transport the audience into the mind of Joe.
The films running time is approx 8-10 mins.
The crew involved in this project are highly competent third year BA media students all which have made short films before.

This project is for my education, but will be ideal for show reels!
The film will be premiered in May at a media exhibition at the Kube in Poole.
Also I am hopping to enter this project in various film festivals

Ideally I would like to start shooting in March. Accommodation, food and transport costs will be provided.

Thank you for your time
