One of the most well-established amateur theatres in Western Sydney is presenting an hilarious new comedy for children (and adults alike) "Audrey and the Professor". The play is set in Paris in 1889 and ancient Rome. It's not a musical but there are a couple of musical numbers.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, August 19th 2012 and the play will open on Friday, January 11th for 3 weekends. There will be a 2 week break from rehearsals over Christmas-NewYear. Rehearsal times have not yet been decided. If you can't make it on August 19th it may be possible to organize an alternative date.

In addition to the featured roles listed here, there are numerous cameo and non-speaking roles. Anyone whose audition for a featured role is unsuccessful may be offered a smaller role.

Professor Julius Blanc

An eccentric 19th century inventor. He is about to launch his amazing time machine when Audrey unexpectedly arrives from the future. He knows that this mysterious girl will make him famous and change the entire course of human history, if only he can remember her name. Must have a good French accent. Leading role.
