Chunky Onion Productions is currently looking for a full time Resident Actors and Actresses. We are looking for dynamic Actors that have a passion for working with children, Drama teaching/education experience is desirable. Chunky Onion provides opportunities in many fields not just performance!

Chunky Onion specialises in staging interactive musical dramas at schools in Hong Kong. Our company goals are twofold:

1) We aim to provide an enriching theatre experience for students; and

2) Demonstrate to students that learning English can be fun and exciting.

Founded in 2000, Chunky Onion Productions is one of Hong Kong's leading educational drama companies. Our aim is to show students that English language activities can be interesting and taken up outside the classroom.

Chunky Onion tour to schools in Hong Kong and Macau performing interactive, musical dramas. These dramas in conjunction with activity-based teaching materials provide a holistic learning experience for all.

AVAILABITY DATE: Immediate

MONTHLY SALARY: $15,000 Hong Kong dollars (roughly $1,935.44 USD)

PERFORMANCE BONUS: A multiple of one to three months Monthly Salary.

WORK VISA: Provided by Chunky Onion

FLIGHT to HONG KONG: Provided by Chunky Onion

CONTRACT DURATION: One year (renewable by mutual consent)

Experience: A degree qualification in a relevant performance discipline or a minimum of three years on-stage acting experience. Experience in teaching and/or leading workshops for young people is also desirable.

Skills: The applicant must be competent in dance and movement and be able to sing well.

Additional: The applicant should have a positive helpful attitude, enjoy working with young people in both in performance and workshop environments and be willing to take on responsibility in all aspects of running a theatre company.
