A personal invitation to join the “Internets Number 1 Hit Music Station”

Hi and thank you for taking time to read this letter, firstly let me introduce myself and who I represent.

I am part of the management committee of Off The Chart Radio. We are a internet station that have been on-air since 2004 playing the best of the 80’s – today with specialist dance & unsigned music shows and currently we are looking for the next big thing.

If you're interested in joining our line up of talented presenters then you must have had a good level of experience in radio before (habbo and other small illegal internet stations do not qualify!) - Whether this be at amateur level (legal internet radio, hospital or community radio etc), studying it for College or University, being part of this radio training course or are a current semi/professional looking for an extra challenge. This is a great way to gain extra experience of ON AIR work.

The days that we are looking to fill are as follows, please only reply if you can commit to these show slots

Friday Night 7-9pm (Dance Music Presenter)
Saturday Morning 10am-12pm
Sunday Morning 10am - 12pm
Saturday Afternoon 2-4pm (Unsigned / New Music Presenter)
Sunday Afternoon 2-4pm
Sunday Night 7-9pm (Dance Anthems Presenter /Old School Dance)
Sunday Night 9-11pm (Rock Music Presenter)
Monday & Thursday 11pm/12am

We're looking for somebody between the age of 16 and 40 to take these positions as our programmes target a younger audience and so must play mainstream music from the last 20 years. We can offer these positions but you must be flexible to take what is offered to you.

We are also looking for specialist dance programmes (e.g.: radio presenters with experience in presenting dance music/mix shows or club DJ’s wishing to have a go at bringing their talent to radio). These are for our (Friday) evening slot 7-9pm only and can be pre recorded if this clashes with live gigs you may have.

All presenters must broadcast from their home studio and have the necessary equipment to make this possible and a reliable broadband internet connection.

This is a non paid position and therefore voluntary however you must be fully committed to the role in order to be considered. We do ask for a contribution to our broadcasting fees of £5 a month set up via direct debit or standing order for those who broadcast on air.

As a new measure to ensure that the new presenters we take on are committed, we demand all new presenters produce 2 pre recorded programmes before they are allowed to go live on air. These will be used as fillers in case of absence of you or another DJ.

If you fit the criteria above and will be flexible with the times you can be live on air from May 2012 but available to join for pre recorded shows from April 2012 then please get in touch with us by sending an MP3 demo recording accompanied with a C.V of your experience and a little bit about yourselves.

Applications without an MP3 demo recording will not be considered or replied to.

We look forward to hearing from you.
