Ages 20-24 and a male aged 40-50 wanted for this dramatic short film to be shot in October
We are students of the University of Hertfordshire studying a foundation degree at West Herts College.
Synopsis

"Shattered"
This is a tragic drama about a girl who was on her way to becoming a big Broadway star. We meet a group of Sarah’s friend’s reminiscing about the times they spent with her. We go into flashbacks of Sarah’s past to see her as an up and coming performing artist. How ever when she goes for an audition for a Broadway production she is hit by some tragic truths. Frank Montague, the auditioner for this production, flames Sarah telling her to give up on Broadway and find another career. Due to this tragic disappointment Sarah becomes suicidal going to far eventually killing herself.

Sarah Mancheter
Females, aged 20 to 24 from the United Kingdom
She is Caucasian British. She has a talent for singing and had been pursuing a singing career. She has been going to Broadway since she was six years old. Her parents had paid for classes (though she has never performed in front of an audience) so Sarah was wary of letting everybody down, so when she failed her audition she had nobody to turn to as she was expected to do well.

Matt Simmons
Any gender, aged 19 to 24 from the United Kingdom
Matt is Sarah’s best friend. He believes Sarah has the talent to go all the way in her singing career and become highly successful. Matt is an understanding, caring and trustworthy friend of Sarah.

Rosie Johnson
Females, aged 20 to 24 from the United Kingdom
Rosie was a good friend to Sarah, who was always there for her, through the good and the bad. She believed that Sarah was going to eventually become a huge singing superstar. Rosie also thought she knew Sarah well enough to know what was going on.

Karla Evans
Females, aged 20 to 24 from the United Kingdom
Karla has known Sarah since the early days of primary school. She is a highly emotional person, from learning of the death of her friend.

Frank Montague
Males, aged 40 to 50 from the United Kingdom
Frank is a professional Broadway producer with an extremely strong personality. He is a very authoritive man that isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He tells Sarah at the audition to pursue a different career, as she is not good enough for Broadway.
