The 8th Annual Vancouver Women in Film Festival VWIFF is calling for entries for the next festival in March 2013; the deadline is 15 September 2012.

Since 2006, VWIFF has showcased an impressive lineup of short and feature film (narrative, documentary, experimental and animation) by established and emerging women filmmakers from around the world. The four-day celebration is organized by Women In Film & Television Vancouver.

All films screened at the VWIFF have a woman in at least three of the key creative roles: writer, producer, director, cinematographer, editor, composer, and lead performer (one woman may serve in more than one role). Films completed after March 2010 are eligible.

In addition to offering independent filmmakers a professional screening opportunity, the festival pays artists' fees to all filmmakers and all films are entered to win cash awards.
