I am an actress working on a socio-critical play about child sexual abuse and currently looking for a director to come on board the project.
I am a survivor myself and the play was also written by one, so I would be especially interested to hear from people with a personal motivation as this is what this play is all about!
It tells the story of a survivor of child sexual abuse going through a healing process that is intense and heartbreaking but at times also humorous and has a positive ending. The idea is to help those that have been through it and enlighten those that haven't on what survivors feel like and go through.
The length of the play will be between 40 to 60 minutes, depending on how we decide to stage it. It will be rehearsed and performed in London (although later performances in further locations should definitely be worth considering as well).
If this could be of interest to you please get in touch and let me know more about you and your previous work. If I think we'd be a good match, I'll let you know more details about the project and myself, of course!
The payment is to be discussed as this will be an independent fringe production. I'm happy to make it a profit share but cannot guarantee how much profit the production will make.
I am personally in this to fight for the good cause and looking for someone with an equal motivation!
I am a professional actress and have worked on a whole variety of projects but have always had a special commitment to productions and performances raising awareness of sexual abuse and child abuse.
