Performers required for a stunning and unique show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2012
The lucky audience that finds themselves lost in the world of Bordello can expect a bohemian musical score co-developed by none other than Melbourne band, Rapskallion, winners of the Adelaide Fringe best music award. The wacky physical theatre concepts, that Miss Friby is best known for, offer suburban regalia in tightly constructed choreography and when you team that up with an innovative script by Melbourne playwright, Katie Dircks, you’re guaranteed a shocking brawl of dirty feminism at its best.
This show, and it is a show, is being especially devised for the charming remnants of Melbourne’s Fringe community with the hope of presenting something completely new and innovative, but at the same time addressing modern themes in an awkwardly grotesque manner.
Rehearsals are due to take place in Footscray during the periods below:
Monday 9th July – Sunday 22nd July
Wednesday 25th July
Saturday 28th July
Monday 30th July – Sunday 23rd September
Monday 1st -5th October
*EXACT REHEARSAL SCHEDULE TO BE ANNOUNCED however, only performers who are able to commit to rehearsing at some time during the above dates are encouraged to apply.
Performance Dates vary due to Fringe venue confirmation however, performers can expect to commit to six-nine shows within the dates of 1st October – 14th October 2012, particularly Thursday – Sunday (EVENINGS ONLY).
Auditions will be taking place on the 23rd and 24th June during the day.
All performers, cast and crew are entering the production team under a profit share arrangement.
This is a great oppurtunity to colaborate with other wacky individuals, get some great exposure and enhance your performance history.

Successful applicants will be competent in dancing, singing and acting with particular emphasis on dance, as this is a movement based show. Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be open to wacky concepts, have a marvellous ability to connect with the audience and invest energy into the possible rewards that come with participating in a Fringe Show.
