"Atvir Dres: The Last Prince of Tear" is a fully-voiced, multi-pathed companion modification for Bethesda Softworks' award-winning game, TES V: Skyrim. We are currently looking for a talented musician (or musicians) to compose and record several original songs to accompany our alpha release, currently slated for April.
Please note that this is unpaid work.
This modification will tell the tale of the last known son of House Dres, one of the five Great Houses that once ruled the war-torn land of Morrowind. Deprived of his family, his birthright, and his title, Atvir Dres has grown into a sharp-tongued pessimist with a blatant disregard for any law but his own. Raised on stories of Dunmer martyrdom and Argonian butchery, he has reverently preserved the conservative traditions of his house, which include veneration of the Daedra, a deep cultural bias against most other races, and a tendency to operate through deceit and trickery. Through multiple playthroughs, gamers will be able to explore various facets of Atvir's personality, while teaching the exiled prince the fine arts of tolerance and forgiveness - or, while lending their blades to his war of retribution.
Our current musical requirements call for a character theme for Atvir (2-5 minutes in length), which, due to the nature of the modification, will also serve as the theme song for the work as a whole. Given the medieval setting of the series, we are looking for artists that excel in acoustic work, particular those with a strong knowledge of Eastern European and/or Central Asian folk music.
We ask any applicants to please include a link to examples of your previous work. For more details on the project, we encourage you to visit our website.
