....with the ability to quick change into Dean Martin and GI Elvis
Professonal female singer requires rat packing partner for her swing show and GI Elvis for her tribute to the 40's.
Must be over 30 please - as much as I adore anklebiters and whippersnappers, I'm 38 and even though I look a lot less than that, I still don't want audiences accusing me of cradle snatching! Besides, there are plenty of opportunities for young 'uns; this one is for the *cough* 'older' members of the entertainment industry.
Must be available for audition during December and also must be based within a 25 mile radius of Stoke-on-Trent in order to attend reharsals.I would also prefer someone who has their own PA - I do have one but I would still like to collaborate with someone who has experience and has worked in the corporate and cabaret sector.No pay during rehearsals I'm afraid but I will go 50/50 on all gig monies (after commissions have been paid).
The two shows will either be done as two 45 minute sets, or as an hour long cabaret spot and could be done individually or together. Many venues wish to have the specialised 40's show; others solely want the swing thang.Both shows require someone who has a strong vocal, a swinging style, personality, ability to harmonise and I'm sorry to say it but yes, I need someone who is within their ideal weight range. A little over or underweight is fine but any more than that, it's a no. This is because the show is a visual one (I wish for it to be aesthetically pleasing) and a physically demanding one (dancing and costume changes)..
Agents in place - all that would be required is publicity shots/demos/showreels.
Gigs could be varied between functions, hotels, restaurants, holiday venues, military bases. The work may be slow at first but once it takes off, we could be working 4-5 nights a week.
Finally, I need someone who can drive, has their own transport and is willing to travel and tour. It's a lot to ask, I know - I'm a Mum myself and have a Husband that I hate leaving at home but that is the life of a performer.
