Dean’s career in Television started in 1995 promoting retail businesses on Corporate Videos -specialising in private collections of Designer Menswear, assisting in the first pilot for ‘The National Lottery’, and a contestant appearance on ‘The Big Break’ with the BBC.
This led on to presenting travel on Cable Network TV which included interviewing popular celebrity guests. From there Dean became a popular Weather Presenter for 'The Weather Channe'l on Sky and provided viewers with in-depth information on current and future weather forecasts, for leisure travel and business.
In 1997 Dean moved to 'QVC', presenting ‘live’ broadcasts promoting a wide range of products to the public. This included live studio presentation, non-scripted, and outside broadcasts incorporating live audience participation. Over the past few years Dean has also been involved with pilot shows for the 'BBC' and Cable Channels and occasionally fronts BBC Local Radio programmes.
In 2001 'Granada Television’s' Home Shopping Channel head hunted Dean to front a new look to the channel to provide a more entertaining approach. As a senior presenter he again fronted mainly live shows which were studio based. After leaving Shop! Dean had another year in Home Shopping presenting until deciding to leave this format to concentrate on more mainstream projects. Recent projects include a short film in which he played the character of ‘Death’, writing and developing programs. Dean launched a new channel ‘Nation217” in 2003 which was the first interactive game channel in the UK. As well as heading up the presenting team and producing programmes, he also developed and presented three new game shows which went out three nights a week. The 'live' show Big Box Bingo came next which was the first show of its kind to air in the UK. Currently, Dean is also the regular presenter on the Golf Channel and Golf Pro Shop hosting programmes, interviewing top golf stars and promoting equipment.
