Audition for the leading part in an independent French film shot in English, called Negative Numbers, a dark thriller inspired by the works of writer Bret Easton Ellis.
4 week shoot in August in France. With meals provided and a place to stay (included 2 weeks in the south of France in a house with a private swimming pool). Shooting paid $1,500.
Plot summary:
Today, in the dark suburbs of Paris, France. Sean, 19yo, (a beautiful dreamy eyed male model) and his two lovers (Jayne and Jamie, the first one is Swedish, the second Albanian; both being beautiful) just kidnapped a child. Sean calls his brother Patrick (a handsome cocaine addict from New York) for help. Having caught the first flight out of New York for Paris, Patrick discovers Paul – 6yo – handcuffed to the tap in Sean’s bathtub. Facing the impossibility to return the child without either being killed or killing the kid himself, this community will try to live their lives as they come, day after day, incident after incident, until their final deliverance.
As the frontiers between reality and fiction grow thinner, that Patrick falls in love with Jamie, the actors drop dead one by one, that their own realities cross and differ from each other, that the actor playing Patrick discovers his own grave in the garden, that the young Paul appears and disappears out of the bathroom, that the director, before leaving he actors to play the rest of the film by themselves, gives Patrick a plush bird that urinates on him, that pages from the script of Negative Numbers, start falling from the sky and catching on fire, and that Patrick seems never to have left New York, things are getting worse for the community as the police seem to be catching on their trail.
From axe, shotgun and chainsaw murders to a woman stepped out of a Monet paining; filled with the darkest of humours and bathed in a very noir climate, Negative Numbers is a really disturbing film, an autopsy of the modern way of life. Dissecting first its decadent youth, used to the supremacy of violence, beauty, percent body fat, hard drugs, money, the “I-don’t-care”-ness, heavy consumerism and the flow of MTV images. But also an autopsy of a new way of living; living through and finally literally within television itself.

Patrick, a 26 years old (ish) New Yorker; 6 feet tall (ish), painfully handsome; with a perfectly shaped body and dreamy grey-blue eyes. He looks like he?s been taken out of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue.
