Seeking mother and father in the very visual production "Give us a Break" at Bournemouth University
We are currently looking for two dynamic actors to play the mother and father in the very visual production "Give us a Break" at Bournemouth University.
This unusual script follows a family in decline due to mounting debt told through a commercial break. It's a satirical comedy born out of the shameless contradictory messages that an advert break can send out and the problems that arise if you acted upon every advert. This is a very rare opportunity for both leading male and female to play six character roles. If you are interested in short film making but are looking for something very different then this is the project for you.
Auditions will be taking place over the next two weeks.
The shoot will take place on Mon 26th, Tues 27th and Weds 28th November. You will be required on all three days. All your expenses will be paid for throughout the shoot and you will be given a copy of each of your performances along with the final piece which will certainly be incredible show reel material. The film will be shot on DVX 200; digital film will incorporate some of the best green screen, cgi and editing effects available. Not only this, but you will be working with a multi talented crew all with professional experience both in the UK and overseas.

Mother
Females, aged 27 to 55 from the United Kingdom
The mother needs a playing age of 30 - 45 though exceptions will made for those who feel they have something truly unique to bring to the role. You will be advertising everything from the erotic new fragrance "love pump" to the regenerate beauty of "oil of o-live"

Father
Males, aged 27 to 55 from the United Kingdom
The father needs to be of a playing age of 30 - 45 but again exceptions will be made to those who feel they can really deliver such a diverse comedy performance! You'll be showing men what they're missing starting with the car that everyman wants the "funto joywagon"
