Male and female actors needed for a short film about a struggling artist
Synopsis:

When struggling artist Dwayne Harvey gives up on his goal of being accepted as an artist, he decides to throw his dreams away; however just when he thinks all hope is lost his greatest let down becomes his well awaited master piece.
The story follows his journey of self pity into an almost rebirth where by Dwayne finally accepts that he is not a failer but in fact a success.

Dwayne Harvey
Males, aged 21 to 30 from Australia
Dwayne Harvey (protagonist); is a 26-year-old man who dreams of becoming a respected painter. He has held his job at the Museum of Fine Art for the last five years, which was the same time that he began to take an interest in painting. He leads a solitary life in his small one bedroom apartment, which has become a 'cave' in which he hides in the hopes of developing his skills to the point that he will create art that is deemed 'beautiful'.

Sigmond
Males, aged 55 to 63 from Australia
Sigmond; is a 56-year-old man who motivates Dwayne to destroy his paintings by throwing them from the body's bay bridge. The way that Sigmond looks at art is very clinical - beauty is something that is defined purely by technique. He also believes that good art can really only be appreciated by those who have the intellectual ability to deconstruct art and what it means.

Beatrice
Females, aged 50 to 60 from Australia
Beatrice; is the 52 year old wife of Sigmond. She is connected to the art world entirely through Sigmond, and has no technical knowledge of art or painting. She believes that she has learnt how to critique artwork based on her observations of Sigmond, and she considers herself to be a part of the elite alongside her husband. The truth is that she knows very little about art.
