Casting call for Stephen Sondheim’s critically acclaimed musical Company. All actors must be capable of an American accent, possess a strong voice and characterization skills.
Synopsis:

‘Company’ is an American Musical about the pressures of marriage among a group of Thirty something’s. Revolving around the central character of Bobby, now the only singleton among his immediate friends, finding that he has managed to reach his thirty fifth birthday without a wife. As he watches the four couples that are his friends living out their lives together, and as he becomes increasingly aware of the unsuitability of all three of his current girlfriends, he finds himself having to ask the question - 'Just what do you get?'
Seeking the following roles:

Robert — A thirty-five year old attractive, charming, funny bachelor.
Amy — A mildly crazy, paranoid, neurotic, yet humorous woman who is about to be married to Paul.
April — A girlfriend of Robert. She is an air headed airline stewardess.
David — A traditional, relaxed husband to Jenny.
Harry — A competitive man who is married to Sarah. He is a recovering alcoholic.
Jenny — A conservative, boring woman married to David.
Joanne — Larry's caustic, funny and demanding wife.
Kathy — A girlfriend of Robert. She is sweet and wants a husband and children badly.
Larry — A stoic man who is married to Joanne. He is one of the few people who can appreciate the good in Joanne.
Marta — One of Robert's girlfriend's. She is intelligent, comedic, and lives life on the edge.
Paul — A stable man who is about to be married to Amy. He is also Amy's best friend.
Peter — A good looking, Ivy League type who is married to Susan.
Sarah — An over-eater who is married to Harry. She also dabbles in karate.
Susan — A pretty, southern women who is dependent on her husband Peter. She is happy though, that they recently decided to divorce.
Please prepare two musical theatre songs, one up-tempo and one slow that can be sung unaccompanied.
Audition Dates: 16th and 17th of November, closing date is 14th of November
Performance Dates: January 23-25, 2008
All rehearsals take place at Goldsmiths College in New Cross, London
