Roxey Ballet will hold auditions for the 2008/09 season from June 21-August 15, 2008 ( by appointment only).
All professional dancers interested in a 21-33 week contract with Roxey Ballet should Please apply now to take part or for more information. Any positions will remain open until filled.
All auditions will be held in the home studios of Roxey Ballet in Lambertville, NJ. Dancers from NY, NJ and PA are encouraged to apply and if chosen must be willing to relocate to NJ or Pa prior to August 31 2008. Professional dancers must have prior professional experience and be self motivated. Male and female dancers must have strong classical and contemporary technique as well as exceptional partnering skills and the ability to dance, perform and teach for multiple demographics.
The company presents a variety of performances each year, including "Dracula,""Carmen", "Othello," "Peter and the Wolf," "Carnival of the Animals," "The Nutcracker," "Emerging Choreographic Showcase," "Evening of Romantic Dance," "Wheels and Bodies in Motion," "Children's Classic Stories" over 50 repertory works, and more.
The company also performs on tour and, in addition, has substantial education initiatives in k-12 schools and with individuals with disabilities. Company members have a contract of 21 to 33 weeks (varies each year) including some benefits. Set in the picturesque river town of Lambertville, NJ just across the Delaware River from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Roxey Ballet offers dancers the advantages of performing at the highest artistic level with all the comforts of beautiful country living
