Are you a bubbly and hard working person who loves kids? Then we want you to help run our fabulous children's birthday parties at our party venue in Mile End and also at parties held in our customer's homes around Adelaide.
As a team member of Groovy Chicks you are never sent to run a party alone - you are always with at least one other staff member. And our staff are the friendliest most vibrant team you will find anywhere in Adelaide!
This job is extremely fast paced and requires hard work so is not for those who get stressed easily! The role involves various skills, the most important being: excellent verbal communication skills and a fantastic ability to relate with kids, as well as outstanding organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of all parties. You will be someone who doesn't get embarrassed easily and could confidently parade around as a pirate or discoette in front of 20 watchful parents without breaking a sweat!
Work roster is Saturday and Sundays, generally between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Staff each work one day a weekend. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with additional km based petrol allowance if driving to party locations.
Applicants must have their own transport.
Duties may include:

Greeting children and parents
Dressing up in character costumes
Driving to parties around Adelaide
Interacting with kids and running games
Adhering to strict time schedules
Heating pre-prepared food in our ovens
Preparing and slicing simple sandwiches
Pouring drinks
Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen area
Serving food to our party rooms
Assisting with general tidy-up of party rooms
Some cash handling
Previous experience is not necessary, but the right attitude and ability to learn quickly is essential. This is a very fast-paced and challenging environment, so suited only to those who thrive under these circumstances.
Interviews will be run over the next two weeks and an introductory training session will be booked with successful applicants in the following week.
