We are currently sourcing music (atmospheres, theme music, score, tracks) for the film Last Paradise
We are currently sourcing music (atmospheres, theme music, score, tracks) for the film Last Paradise. This great feature movie about the journey of the extreme sports pioneers and their quest to save the planet provides an opportunity for unknown talented artists to stage their work.
The music will be sourced from a combination of:
1. Production music.
2. Copyright classic music of the 60’s and 70’s and contemporary music for which use rights will be cleared.
3. Music scored/composed expressly by session musicians for certain scenes.
4. Music tracks submitted by artists who wish to benefit from the exposure.
As privately funded independent film producers, our budget is limited. However, due to its universal audience appeal, we aim to produce the film in NZ for international release in cinema and HD DVD, as budget permits.
The film provides a unique platform for exposing new music and reviving of older era music to audiences of all ages.
The unique appeal of the visuals produces an emotional re-awakening to a golden era of the 70's and the music associated with it. Our test audiences after viewing the rough cut versions commented that through the film they fell in love with the era and the associated soundtrack.
We therefore believe that the images can potentially give as much to the music as the music to the visuals.
Preferred music genre, syle and instruments

Approximately 15 percent of the action is modern so some modern music submissions will also be sought, particularly lively exotic tracks. Otherwise music feel will be akin to that of the 1970’s era.
Preferred music style is predominantly instrumental, (or non-dominating vocal accompaniment), melodic with of exotic feel, including the likes of guitar, flute, congos, digeridoo.
Music will be selected according to how well it fits the “feel and style” of the 70’s era. The music should enhance the film’s images of being lost in time in exotic worlds, mystical places, close-to nature lifestyles, celebration of the planet’s beauty, soul-searching, escapism, paradise etc.
Lyrics should reflect the humanitarian journey of the main characters who are soul-searching youth seeking answers, adventure, truth, wisdom, opportunity, happiness and a home in the world. Lyrics will convey profound, positive messages and future optimism and hope.
