We are currently sourcing music (atmospheres, theme music, score, tracks) for the film Last Paradise
We are currently inviting artists to submit their music for the adventure film Last Paradise. The feature film project and its trailer are viewable on the film web site. The music sought is described below and on the “MUSIC” page of the web site. We are especially looking for more up-tempo, feelgood style to match a fun adventure movie.
The final music score will be done in NZ but will be selected from original tracks by lesser known musicians wishing to expose their work and established musicians who support the theme and cause of the film. We believe that the visual content will give as much to the music as the music to the visuals. As privately funded independent film producers, our budget is limited. However, the content is first class and due to its universal audience appeal, we aim to produce the film in NZ for international release in cinema and HD DVD, as budget permits. There will also be an opportunity to include selected tracks for a film soundtrack CD.
Preferred music genre, style and instruments:

Approximately 15 percent of the action is modern so some modern music submissions will also be sought, particularly lively exotic tracks. Otherwise, music feel will be akin to that of the 1970s era. Preferred music style is predominantly instrumental, (or non-dominating vocal accompaniment), melodic with an exotic feel, including the likes of guitar and strings, flute, congos, didgeridoo, harmonica, sax, accordion. (Drum machines, and techno feel, etc is not preferred.)
Generally, tracks should be feelgood, upbeat, positive to fit scenes of action, cruising, travel, campfire, adventure, youthful exuberance. The music should enhance the film's images of being lost in time in exotic worlds, mystical places, close-to nature lifestyles, celebration of the planet's beauty, paradise etc.
Most tracks are instrumental, but for lyrical tracks, words must convey profound, positive messages in theme of the film as above and generally future optimism and hope. (Personal and romantic lyrics are not preferred as they usually clash with the film narration, but in such cases, if the underlying instrumental track stands up well on its own with lyrics removed, this will be considered.
