Star EFX Sunday Night Live at Her Majesty's Theatre - performers wanted

Casting no. 73083 - All regions, UK
Seeking singers, dancers and specialty performers, ages 6-80. Troupes of 25 or more only

* Dance & Theatre Schools * Cheerleaders * Performing Arts Colleges * Speciality Acts *
We are currently inviting troupes of 25 or more to apply for our forthcoming shows in 2008 & 2009. These productions are like no other. They were devised 10 years ago by producers Darren Lord and Tony Story to give performers the opportunity to appear alongside other professionals on some of the world's most prestigious stages. Our shows are staged at the magnificent Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, currently home to the world-wide smash hit musical “Phantom of The Opera”.
Every show is unique - a ‘one-off’. The cast are made up of performers of all ages, from budding amateur ‘superstars’, to top-class pros. Applicants are personally visited by a member of the senior Star EFX production team. Nobody ever gets into our shows unless we’ve met them. The standard and quality has to be right for the production. The show will feature specially chosen production numbers with singers, dancers, solos and troupe numbers – such as yours. World-class speciality acts and a guest compère often complete the line up for this unique event.
Some of the cast are trained by Star EFX’s own West End choreography and vocal coaches, whilst the guest troupes, such as yours, are trained for the event by you, in your own premises.
We utilise the very best production crews for our shows. In this case, the actual sound and lighting crew that works on "Phantom of The Opera"! We also bring in extra special effects lighting and our own trained stage crew, to ensure your show is run to the highest standard.
Every troupe has its own dressing room and remains at the theatre from their arrival at 11.00am, for the whole day of the show.
If accepted, your troupe will be invited to devise and choreograph up to three routines. Two of these can be your choice, but will be mutually agreed so as not to clash with other content within the show. For troupes of more than 25 people a third routine may be offered, and details of this would be discussed after we meet you. The troupe will perform in each half of the show, and appear in the finale. The troupe will have their own dedicated page in our souvenir programme which will be on sale on the night of the show. The page can feature photos of the troupe and a biog.
We have a rehearsal day the Sunday before the show at our facility in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, which representatives of the troupe are asked to attend. We will not require the whole troupe on this day, and troupe leaders will advise those that may be needed. It is a valuable opportunity for principals to meet production staff, talk us through the routines, go through the production logistics, and learn the finale etc. Also, the souvenir programme is usually on sale on the day. We advise troupes to make this important day.
Please note: Apart from being suitable for the show, the only condition that is set in stone, is that the troupe must bring an average of four supporters for each troupe member taking part. We do not charge any form of upfront or administration fees. The only way we pay for the shows is through ‘bums on seats’. (For example: 30 in troupe x 4 = 120 tickets sales).
Note: This post is not for individual performers, but for already established dance and theatre schools, choirs, vocal groups. Each troupe should consist of approximately 25 performers or more. Individual performers should wait for our casting which will be posted next month. Speciality Acts (i.e. jugglers, illusionists, stilt walkers, etc) should contact us now in relation to shows we have running throughout 2008 & 2009
We run our own box-office, and supply leaflets and information as to how to book tickets. We take all major credit cards. Every time someone calls to book a ticket, the question is asked "who are you coming to see in the show". This information is logged against the booking, so we help you keep track of who is booking what. The best tickets for the show are priced at £35.00, and the cheapest are £15.00. There are five
