| About me: | | I'm Mikey, i'm 14 but people always think I'm 16/17.
Im about 5'8, with dirty blond/light brown hair and brown eyes.
I write, sing and play lead guitar in two bands, O.C.D who are thrash/punk/screamo and T.P.N who are poprock/metal. I also perform as a solo acoustic artist playing my own stuff and some covers. My own stuff is kind of Plain White T's /James Morrison / Newton Faulkner, so as you can see,Im quite adaptable:-). |

Music experience
I started playing when I was 11, my dad plays in his sparetime and I asked him to teach me, he taught me some chords, then sent me to practice with a pile of total guitar magazines. When I came downstairs about 2 hours later and played the intro to Jimmi Hendrix hey joe, he thought I might have something.
I've been playing ever since.
I joined my first band aged 11, and my second aged 13. Ive been gigging since I was 12 and also started writing about then too.
Last year, after losing our singer, I started doing the vocals just in practices - but then at gigs too when we didnt find a new singer. I didnt know if I was any good or not until my music teacher heard me singing in a practice after school one night and started giving me singing lessons.
I have also performed at concerts on behalf of my school where I play drums, double bass, acoustic guitar and sing.
My gigging experience has been at venues like Barfly Liverpool, Stamps, Crosby Music Festival, Southport Arts Centre. Both bands have a great fan base who support us everywhere we play and we've had some great reviews in the local press too.
Im working on some solo recordings at the moment and would like to start doing some solo gigs soon.
On 2nd December I did a solo acoustic audition at the regional heats of the Live and Unsigned Competition in Manchester and made it thru to the Regional Semi Finals which is on Feb 24th 2008.
