Exciting new opportunities exist for television hosts, segment contributors and content producers
Exciting new opportunities exist for television hosts, segment contributors and content producers to kick off a brand new SYN/Melbourne community TV station Channel 31 production Get Cereal TV!
The student youth network (SYN) is excited to be building on the established get cereal brand by giving young people an alternative in the mornings:something to watch! Get Cereal TV will have different hosts and content and be broadcast live on C31, weekdays 7.30-8.30am. Broadcast will begin in September.
To kick off the show, SYN is looking for people under the age of 25 to fill the following volunteer roles. Please note all on air roles (apart from pre-records) are in studio between 7.30-8.30am and will span the entire block (length approximately. 15 weeks, to be confirmed).
Short-listed applicants will be required for an interview/audition towards the end of July.
To apply for one of the on air roles, please apply with brief information about you and any relevant experience. Please provide a link to your show reel/demo. Please also number from 1 to 5 which day you would most like to be on the show (all except hosts - these are two fixed roles for the entire block).
Hosts
Any gender, aged up to 25 from Australia
Two main hosts driving the show. Must be enthusiastic, committed and have some on air radio/TV experience!

Segment contributors
Any gender, aged up to 25 from Australia
Each day, GC TV will feature a 'niche' segment. This can be about anything - comic books, politics, what's going on in Melbourne, tracking the progress of a sporting club - anything! The spot will be around 4-5 minutes on the same day each week.

Pre-recorded segments
Any gender, aged up to 25 from Australia
Are you a whiz with the camera, or love animation?Or anything else pre-recorded? We'll give you a 3-4 minute spot once a week to showcase your talents! All content will also be featured on the brand new syn website. (please note: contributors are responsible for filming/creating and editing their own content)
