CAREER OBJECTIVES
To secure live and recording gigs in Melbourne; in the corporate/receptions markets,tribute shows, touring bands ect, while continuing to work on my original projects in the electronic scene.
As part of my musical teaching to incarnate my “ East meets West” workshops.
To get published in terms of all the materials I have been working on over my thirty years of experience as a drummer percussionist and to continue to grow as a musician, as a creative inspiration to all my listeners and students.
I am professional, laid back, hard working, with me its all about the music. Its all about the heart. |

Music experience
 
MUSICAL HISTORY January 2004- July 2007 Traveled the world extensively including: Fiji, USA, India and Europe. Did extensive work as a promoter, musician and consultant for Florida based company “Facing East Productions”. Studied Kanjira (frame drum) and Kannokol(vocal percussion) and compositions or “calculations” in Chennai India with South Indian drum Masters Subash Chandran and Ganesh Kumar. Musician and Sacred Arts event coordinator on Fijian island Naitauba.
March 2000 - 1 January 2004 Musician/student Came to Byron Bay, played most of all the venues up and down the coast while completing, BA in contemporary music at Southern Cross University.Predominantly gigged in a band called the Rockgodz, tribute show to all the great rockers of the 70's, 80's and 90's, but also played many freelance gigs, including touring with Lisa Hunt, Fatter than nusrat,Jalapeno and many others with gigs at the Beach Hotel, the Rails and the Great Northern.
February 1994 - February 2000 Musician/Teacher Played in reception band “First Avenue” (very big within the Sri Lankan, community), playing hundreds of weddings and big dances, as well as many other gigs
January 1990 - June 1991 Guitar World, Penrith Music Teacher Teaching Drums to pupils. January 1987 - January 1991 Springwood School of Music Music Teacher Teaching drums to pupils. June 1986 - January 1990 Teacher:Self and music schools/studio production Became very much involved in teaching both privately and at various institutions. Established a music studio.
January 1980 - March 1984 Freelance musician While continuing my music studies played in many experimental, original and cover bands in Sydney, while continuing my studies. Through a band called "Slow Metro" received international attention. Took up tabla during that time, moved to the Blue Mountains.
