I am a very versatile actor currently based in Nottingham. I pride myself on my ability to challenge myself, so I can strive to learn more about acting.
Acting has been a passion of mine since I was in primary school, and I am keen to develop my skills further and take on more roles to gain experience, learn more about the craft and hopefully to lead to a successful career.
I've been involved in a variety of challenging projects for the past 9 years, some examples of which I have set out below:
THEATRE: I started out on the amateur stage with Carlton Operatic Society and Bingham Musical Theatre Company, taking on principal roles in productions of 'The Sound of Music', 'Me and My Girl', 'Oklahoma' and 'Cinderella'.
I regularly perform with the Prospect Players and the Bonington Players, where I have played lead parts in productions of 'Billy Liar', 'Oliver!', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'Humble Boy', 'Taking Sides', 'Move Over Mrs Markham' and 'Fawlty Towers'.
Whilst performing with these groups, I have been nominated for Actor of the Year (Taking Sides - Major Arnold) and have won Best Supporting Actor (Fawlty Towers - Manuel) through the governing body N.A.N.D.A. (Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Drama Association).
FILM/TV: More recently, I have begun to delve into the media of film. I have been an extra in the Mitchell and Webb film 'Magicians' and also on the programme 'Britain's Bravest...'
Recently, I have taken lead roles in the independant projects 'Here, That's It' (Nottingham Isle Productions), 'Marmite Advert' (A Josh Beaumont Production) and '1818' (Nottingham Isle Productions)
RADIO: I am frequently a guest on the local BBC Radio programmes, whether to review the newspapers or to speak about current theatrical projects I'm involved in.
I am always flexible, so I would ask any director to tell me what they want of me, and not to worry about what I can or can't do! I will say I've never let anyone who I have worked with down yet, and I see any form of work in this field as a welcome challenge.
