I have over ten years of performing experience singing pop, soul, funk, jazz, folk/country and classical repertoire as a soloist, in choirs, duos, ensembles, original bands, tribute and covers bands for public concerts, private events, cruise ships, wedding ceremonies and receptions.
I am currently based in Fulham, London as a soloist, singer/songwriter and sessionist. I sing with and lead the soprano section of London Contemporary Voices (www.londoncontemporaryvoices.co.uk), sing soprano with the Purcell Singers (www.purcellsingers.org), sing backing vocals for singer/songwriter Memelove (www.memelovemusic.com), and perform and weddings and events as a soloist and with a covers band. I also write my own music, play piano and teach singing.
I graduated in 2003 with a BMus (Hons) from the Ian Tomlin School of Music, Napier University where I studied voice with Joan Busby. During my time at University I sang many solos with the Napier Chamber Choir and the Contemporary Music Ensemble (including Faure's Requiem and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle).
In 2002 and 2003 I appeared as a soloist in Scottish Ballet’s production of The Snowman, which led to me appearing as a soloist in Rutter’s Requiem and Haydn’s Harmonie Mass with the Bearsden Choir.
From 2003 until 2007, I was a member of the Edinburgh International Festival Chorus and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus and in 2007 I joined a six-voice a cappella group 'The Wild Myrtles', who I still sing with. In 2008 I was part of a voice/guitar duo on cruise ships in the Mediterranean, performing pop, jazz and easy listening material.
In addition to the a cappella group, I sang in an original band called Whisper Chamber (www.myspace.com/whisperchamber), as part of a piano/voice jazz and classical duo, a guitar/voice pop duo and a covers band at wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate functions; and a Baroque ensemble called Sospiro.
