Photographing experience
I have accomplished a 2:1 BA Honours degree in Visual communication specialising in photography leaning my final year and all my final exhibition work towards fashion photography. Within my degree I built up a strong portfolio, using both digital and film based images aimed at potential employers of both location and studio based fashion work that I feel best shows both my technical skills and creativity.
I have developed the skills, experience and technical knowledge that a potential client is prepared to commission for and have proved to myself and others that I have the strength, determination and individual style to be able to bring together, set up and accomplish high quality fashion images. I have the ability to plan high quality and complex photographic images in which collaboration with others is vital and a vision for the specified brief is a must. I also have a strong knowledge of postproduction using Photoshop and am able to use this confidently.
Throughout my time at university and up to the present day I have been commissioned for a number of private jobs and have also worked for a number of companies, newspapers and for a local magazines in which the jobs range from PR to family portraits to fashion and my work has been published. I began my true experience of commercial photography when I worked along side a photographer for 4 months during my first year of university. We formed a strong working relationship and still continue to work together to this day. Through this experience I have learnt how to work under pressure within the real world in all parts of the country and to professional deadlines within various briefs. I believe I have the skills, experience and personality to shine within all these essential areas.
