Attention Unsigned Musicians! Live and Unsigned 2009 competition on now! |
 19 Nov 2008 |
|
 |
Ever dreamed of being the headline act, playing in front of a crowd of thousands? Or recording your own studio album and having a no.#1 single?
Live and Unsigned is the UK’s biggest music competition for unsigned bands, vocal groups and solo artists to perform live. With over 10,000 registrations for the second year in succession, it is the biggest music talent search for original singers and acts to perform live in the UK.
So be yourself; whether you want to perform a cover or your own song, you need to make it your own version.
Live and Unsigned returns with a much improved competition structure, better venue’s and prizes. Win a recording contract and single release and follow last year’s winners (2007) B-Kay & Kazz into the UK national charts where their debut single “You know it’s right” made top 30.
This year’s winners Kiddo360 are forecast to go better and have already won the best unsigned award at the Vodafone Live music awards. Greater exposure with regional media partners, a UK winner’s tour.
This year’s competition will be much bigger, better and more popular than ever! Take your shot today and enter Live and Unsigned 2009 in conjunction with StarNow, official partners of the 2009 event.

Networking nights for those in the London Theatre Circuit |
 18 Nov 2008 |
|
 |
As it is so often said in this industry, it is not about what you know but who you know before you can get your lucky break (or let’s be honest, just some paid roles). Networking, (ie. Cultivating relationships with people who can be helpful to one professionally, esp. in finding employment or moving one into to a higher position) should be a vital part of any aspiring performer’s activities.
Enter the Pub Club, a local networking event set up by Artists Anonymous, a networking organisation for theatre creators in London involved with creating, organising or managing theatre in the capital.
Bursting with like-minded people from a theatrical background, the Pub Club networking evening provides the perfect relaxed setting to gain advice from your peers, discuss new projects, meet potential collaborators, promote your new show - or just have a cheeky mid-week drink!
From actors to directors, producers to technicians, we’re building a much needed sense of community within the landscape of London theatre and this is your chance to be a part of it.
The night kicks of 7.30pm – 11:00pm with food available until 9.30pm and the option to continue your evening with the late bar open til the wee small hours. There is a £3 entrance fee for all Artists Anonymous events.
The Pub Club is proudly sponsored by StarNow.co.uk and in conjunction with Artists Anonymous we are giving away free StarNow memberships and Artists Anonymous membership cards to London performers who sign up to attend the upcoming Pub Club events.
