We're proud to be the platinum sponsor of Surviving Actors, which is coming to Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival on Saturday 18 August.

This free event is aimed at professional actors and includes inspirational seminars, networking opportunities, and options for further training. There’s also the chance to meet producers of independent projects, attend an open casting with Sell a Door Theatre Company, and to participate in a Stage Combat workshop.

StarNow will be hosting one of the seminars, called ‘Getting Work as an Actor’. This is never an easy journey, so industry expert Dee-Dee Crosher of Kenneth Earle Personal Management will share her tips on where to start and how to get those jobs!

The seminar will also cover how to get in touch with agents, the actor/agent relationship, and how to connect with casting directors.

There are now 25 finalists in the StarNow Music Immersive competition, based on the auditions with the most votes!

We’ve also picked 10 Wild Card entries, which we thought deserved to make it into the final round as well.

Voting has now ended. Our panel of industry judges will now give feedback on the videos and pick a winner, who will head to Hollywood for the Music Immersive program. There will also be prizes for the two runners-up. The lucky winners will be announced on 2 August (PST).

A huge thanks to everyone who has entered our Music Immersive competition. We've really enjoyed watching all your entries, and it's also fantastic to see everyone voting and posting positive comments.

Since the competition went live on 12 July (PST), we’ve had a few questions from people about the vote counts. We'd like to remind everyone that you may vote for a contestant no more than 10 times within a 24 hour period, as stated in #13 of the competition rules. We’ve been monitoring this closely, and any contestants with an obviously excessive number of votes have had their totals reset to the correct vote count.

We will continue to monitor voting until the competition closes on 26 July (PST).

Are you an über-talented vocalist? Then get ready to take centre stage!

StarNow has launched a competition to find the next big voice. You could win a trip to Hollywood to take part in the world famous Music Immersive program – including rubbing shoulders with top music execs.

How it works:

1. Upload your audition video, which will be added to our competition page. (Once you click the link, you’ll see our tips on how to make a great video.) You need to be at least 14 years old to enter.

2. Voting starts on 12 July (PST). For two weeks, visitors to StarNow will be able to watch, vote, and comment on your audition video.

3. Voting will close on 25 July (PST). On 26 July (PST) the 25 videos with the most votes will go through to the final round, along with 10 ‘Wild Card’ auditions as chosen by StarNow and Hollywood Immersive.

4. From there, our panel of industry judges will give feedback on the audition videos and select a winner, who will head to Hollywood with all expenses paid for the Music Immersive program. There will also be prizes for the two runners-up. The winners will be announced on 2 August (PST).
