POP FOR DIABETES: A new CD raises funds for charity on World Diabetes Day |

The three track CD, Rescue Me, will be released worldwide to coincide with World Diabetes Day (14th November 2008) and all proceeds will be donated to help raise funds for the charity Diabetes UK.
Shane’s story:
Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes1 at the age of ten, Shane Board (now aged 20) understands more then most the importance of taking care of your health and has learnt how to manage his diabetes the ‘hard way’. Following a difficult time at school Shane refused to accept his condition and neglected his health. In 2006, he had a ‘wake-up call’ when he was told that unless he changed his lifestyle he would go blind in his twenties.
A brighter future:
From that point on, Shane has transformed his life and has focused on using his talent as a singer, actor and performer to raise awareness of diabetes. This new CD is Shane’s debut single, and follows in quick succession from a recent celebrity fundraising event, Pop4Diabetes, that he organised to raise thousands of pounds for Diabetes UK.
Rescue Me includes two new tracks, Tell Me Now and Constantly You, co-written by Dean Heart, Mike Austin, Dan Corbin and Katie Marne and a cover of Neil Diamond’s classic Hello Again.
