| About me: | | I love to travel and meet people. I've been performing my whole life, and have never met a genre I couldn't handle! My favourite hobbies include slam poetry, cooking, and deconstructing old clothes. |

Music experience

I have a nearly 4-octave vocal range, and am comfortable singing in many styles; including jazz, r&b, rock, pop, country, broadway, and classical/opera. I can read music proficiently and sight-sing well in three languages. I have a BA in Music and have done professional session work for commerical recordings.
I play the piano, as well as several wind instruments: oboe, english horn, trumpet, french horn, saxophone, bass clarinet. I have toured internationally with various concert and theatrical orchestras, performing with such musicians as Linda Eder and Jubilant Sykes.
I am a songwriter and lyricist, and am comfortable with some electronic music production. I am capable of assisting in live sound support, and enjoy the role of karaoke compere.
I also have leadership experience, having conducted wind bands and orchestras, led marching bands, fronted a rock group, and taught a choir. I am comfortable leading both rehearsals and performances.
