| About me: | | I use photography as a way of exploring ideas - I welcome underground/ edgy alternative projects, and I like to work with interesting, fun people.
I don't do corporate/ 'branding' exercises.
My photos are mostly black and white, grainy, and gritty. I tend to concentrate on photographing people in a documentary style, and the way we interact with each other... This often involves public protest and the underground scene in the UK, but I have recently done projects relating to performance and street art.
Iam looking for models, performers and musicians to experiment with visually.

Photographing experience
My major recent projects have included:
2007: official photographer for the Narmada Bachao Andolan, an Indian charity.
2007: official photographer for the 2007 'Action 2007' protests, New Delhi.
(This body of work was exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy's 'photo-open' show)
2007 / 8: 'Moments of protest'
Year long project documenting the activism scene in London. To be exhibited at 'muTATE Britain, Curtain Road, London.
2008: 'muTATE Britain' official photographer.
Mutate Britain is the largest non-corporate art space in London, situated in a derelict warehouse.

2008: London Salsa scene
Ongoing project documenting behind-the-scenes, clubbing and performance in the London salsa scene.
Billy Macrae documented the much-hyped build up to the show, and also the opening night - featuring live grafitti, performance art, burlesque and scuplture by the Mutoid Waste company.
