*Graduated from a Bachelor of Music Performance in 2008, majoring in voice at the Victorian College of the Arts (V.C.A) with in the University of Melbourne. Developing the art of vocal jazz improvisation and professional performance by completing all subjects in first, second and third year, with Distinctions in Performance. This course focuses on the challenging aspect of improvisation, composition and performance by using classes in Aural, Rhythm, Theory and practical workshops. This aims at bringing improvisation, composition and performance skills to higher standards, whilst also nurturing the overall artist to develop.
>>Current work:
Gina has recently finished playing the role as Gabriella Montez in Whitehorse musicals, production High School Musical. She is also performing original compositions at jazz bars around Melbourne, including Paris cat and Kitty club (don’t ask me why it’s cat themed?) Performing is Gina’s main passion, although she is currently studying a Diploma of Education at Monash University, where she is learning to become a secondary school music teacher.
