Ilario Palma (30th June 1990) is a London-based drummer, percussionist, singer/songwriter, composer and producer from Italy. He first started of studying classical and modern music at different academies and at the “Conservatorio Statale di Musica ‘L. Perosi’ di Campobasso” in Italy, and then later on went to study music at one of the finest modern music schools in Europe, “The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance” in London, UK.
When he was 16 he developed an interest for composing and production and his studies in London has allowed him to explore this interest further. In 2008 he started working on a project called “Original Landscapes”, entailing genres such as progressive rock mixed with fusion, which he is currently recording and producing to this date.
In London this young and aspiring artist has been giving the chance to show his promising talent to the fullest. In the past year he has managed to become a household name at all the local jams around his school, and he has played, produced and recorded with multiple artists and songwriters around the city.
Ilario’s influences ranges from a wide variety of general composers like: Steve Reich, John Cage, Emmanuel Sejourne, Ney Rosauro, Philip Glass, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Nobuo Uematsu, to more contemporary bands and artists like Pink Floyd, Jamiroquai, Dream Theater, The Mars Volta, Jack White, Muse, King Crimson, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Porcupine Tree and many other bands.
