Jay discovered theatre at the age of 13; after winning the roll of Danny Zuko in a stage production of Grease that he discovered a love of performing. His adolescence was strewn with musical theatre and sketch comedy — a vital contribution to who he is today. Moving to Montreal he worked as a body double for actors like Andrew McCarthy and secured a few minor rolls on the Canadian TV series Big Wolf on Campus which aired on BBC Kids, The Art of War with Wesley Snipes, and Xchange staring Stephen Baldwin. It was pure initiative and determination... and maybe a bit of luck. After moving back to Nova Scotia, he started modeling and appeared in various publications including: the cover of Serge, editorial shoots for DNA, MATE and a fourteen page fashion spread in reFRESH. Recently he has been involved in local theatre productions, playing Gilligan in a stage production of Gilligan's Island and the Narrator in The Door. He's looking forward to what comes next!
