WRITING:

I have taken a course in playwriting and have written several plays, both collaborative and single-authored, and written scripts for devised theatre pieces, many of which have been produced and performed.

I was one of four winners of White Lantern Films' 2010 MyOneWord competition, the aim of which was to write a three minute screenplay with only one word of dialogue, focusing on interesting plot and good storytelling. I am now working with a director to get the short film produced.

I am currently co-writing a feature-length screenplay to fullfill a brief by a young company looking to make their first film. In addition to writing, my responsibilities include setting and meeting deadlines and sending the producer frequent progress reports.

I frequently act as editor for plays and screenplays, helping with the development of structure, character and plot.


TECHNICAL:

I was SOUND designer and operator for nine live theatre performances, and boom operator for three ten minute films by media arts students.

I took a course in radio playmaking and SCRIPTED, recorded, and edited an original twenty minute radio play.

I took a course in stage LIGHTING, and was lighting designer for two original devised plays and one musical ('Return to the Forbidden Planet').

I have done stage DESIGN for six shows.

I have FILMED and EDITED several short films which have been projected during live performances and shown during presentations. I have also done some basic rough editing and compilation work for Charlie Productions.


MISCELLANEOUS:

I have been making music videos and short films with friends for years, which has given me further experience in writing, editing, designing, filming, and DIRECTING.

I am currently on the STAGE MANAGEMENT team for a touring production of 'The Bacchae'. This role involves drawing up rehearsal schedules, ensuring rehearsals and performances run smoothly, sourcing and making props, writing rehearsal reports and taking minutes at meetings, and generally assisting the director wherever required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Although I have mostly had access to very basic equipment and software, my numerous and consistent projects have given me a great deal of experience. I am a fast learner and very driven, and although I have had no formal training in the field of film production, my enthusiasm for it has led me to get involved in as much media-related work as possible, making my own projects when there have been none to volunteer for.
