I spend alot of time working with ex offenders, young gang members and those who have been cast aside by their behaviour. Some of these individuals are trying to claw their way back into society and as a result I have set up a brand new organisation called C.R.I.M.E. (Creating Role Models In Media Enterprise).
The website will be accessible at the end of June.
Through a series of mentoring sessions and workshops we aim to sit down with some of these teenagers and turn their stories into a short film which will later be screened at the BAFTA and then sent into festivals. It will also hopefully encourage them to change their ways and stay on the straight and narrow while at the same time educate them into the process of film making from the conception right to the visual product at the end.
Having researched the project for the best part of a year we are now ready to start this project but we need the help of an experienced crew who will donate a couple days to the project. All those involved will be credited and will receive full expenses and food as well as the self gratifying feeling of having helped maybe change someones life.
We aim to start the shoot in July.
