SUPER AWESOME! - Feature Film Casting Lead & Supporting Roles

SUPER AWESOME! is written and directed by Guy Edmonds (his feature directing debut) and Matt Zeremes (Burke & Wills, Strangers Lovers Killers). Both Guy and Matt have had extensive and successful careers as actors in Australia and overseas.

As a director, Matt’s first feature film BURKE & WILLS was an indie smash, playing at the Tribeca Film Festival. His second feature STRANGERS LOVERS KILLERS has recently been internationally distributed.

As a producer, Guy’s short IT’S A TREAT won best comedy at the NYC Film Festival, while his most recent film SILVER STILETTO had its world premiere in San Francisco and is screening at festivals in Prague, Russia, NY, Ohio and many more international locations throughout 2012.

SUPER AWESOME! Is a darkly funny story that follows two best friends on the adventure of a lifetime. In their early 30’s, with waning careers and no future prospects to speak of, Mark and Gary find themselves in possession of a large amount of money to develop a musical for a major international festival. With original musical numbers, boundary-pushing comedy and a cameo from a major Hollywood star, SUPER AWESOME! is set to shoot Jan 2013.

This is a privately financed independent film; actors will be contracted on standard MEAA deferred payment contracts. Travel and per diems (if required) will be provided. The film shoots mostly in Sydney, with some scenes being shot in Brisbane and London. If you are based in Melbourne, Perth etc please submit yourself as we will accept self-tests.
Actors will be involved in workshops and rehearsals prior to shooting.

Auditions mid-late August.
Workshops Oct 2012.
Shoot Jan 2013.
