The production will have a two week run at Beaumaris Theatre performing June 29th and 30th and July 6th and 7th. The play will also be entered in several of the one-act play festivals that are held throughout Victoria in the latter half of the year. All actors must be available to perform at both the Beaumaris Theatre season and the one-act play festivals. Dates for these are not known at this stage.

The play.

Set in the refreshment room of a railway station, Still Life tells the story of a chance encounter between Laura Jesson and Alec Harvey, each of whom are married and have separate lives. Another chance encounter leads to another, this time arranged meeting. Laura and Alec continue to meet in secret and before long fall in love. However, their romance is not without complications for both are full of guilt and must make a decision as to their future. While Laura and Alec’s romance is dramatic and intense, the refreshment room experiences romances of a lighter nature Myrtle and Albert and Beryl and Stanley.
