Synopsis: Sarah is celebrating her tenth birthday. Her father, a pharmacist, is devastated by the pain Sarah’s illness is causing her. Her body is constantly plagued with aches, severe sores and scars that leave her bedridden. After getting no help from the doctors, Rolf decides to test Sarah’s blood to find the cure himself. But things turn around and he becomes infected himself. After looking at his symptoms and feeling Sarah’s pain, Rolf decides to inject Sarah with painless poison and kill her for good. Moments later Rolf gets a phone call from the doctors telling that they found a possible cure. Rolf now has no one to live for and knowing that, he kills himself.

Characters

Sarah
Female – 10

Sarah just turned 10. She is a Caucasian girl who is suffering from a rare disease. She struggles to cope with her daily routine. She is also very upset that her mum passed away. This disease makes her really tired so she is on the bed most of the time. She gets different kinds of sores, pimples and scars, which starts to bleed on her whole body. During the film her condition gets worse and worse.

Rolf
Male - Late 30’s

Rolf is a pharmacist and a caring father who wants to help his daughter fight her disease. He is very impatient but understanding and is currently going through a very hard time. His job doesn’t pay much, his wife is dead and now it’s his daughter’s turn. After a negative response from medical professionals, Rolf decides to find a cure himself through research and different experiments. During this time he feels depressed and loses hope therefore he decides to kill his own daughter.


ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Parv Dandona was born in India and raised in Australia. He is an uprising independent filmmaker. He had passion for films since high school and finally started his career in 2009. He has worked on various different projects from being a clapper loader to a TV cameraman and an editor for a feature film. He now attends International Film School Sydney in order to learn more about the cinema world.
