Grosvenor Park Young Theatre Company

Chester Performs is looking for young people aged 16 – 24 years, to join Grosvenor Park Young Theatre Company.

Building on the phenomenal success of Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre, Chester Performs is creating a unique theatre experience for 30 young people from Cheshire and the surrounding areas. The Company will be mentored by the theatre’s professional cast and crew to produce a third mini production, using Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre’s stage and props.

Led by Director Elizabeth Newman, the young Company will work intensively from 23rd July to 13th August to rehearse and perform a prequel to Twelfth Night. The play will be written especially for the season by a young writer.

The production will be performed alongside Twelfth Night and a darkly comic ‘sequel’, Masters Are You Mad?, written by Glyn Maxwell. Since its creation in 2010, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre “has rapidly established itself as an attractive, northern alternative to the Globe and Regent’s Park.” (The Guardian).
