We are currently casting for our innovative production of Romeo and Juliet which will incorporate the use of puppets and projection. By re-vamping this classic tale we aim to create a lively, accessible production particularly aimed at young people.
Prior experience with puppets is not essential, but an open mind and willingness to experiment is! We are also encouraging actors with musical ability, whether voice or instrumental, to apply.
Auditions are taking place on the morning of July 1st in the Blue Room Old Office. Auditionees will be required to prepare a Shakespearean monologue, which will be workshopped in the audition. This production will be working with a cast of only five actors, some of whom will play two or three roles, so choosing a monologue that is outside of your usual stage age or type is acceptable.
Season is mid September with part-time rehearsals commencing in July. Please note the schedule will involve some day time rehearsals, so please only audition if you have reasonable job flexibility.
Payment is co-op.
